PROFILE: PERSPECTIVE AND PROSPECTS

Aligarh Modern School forms the core of the activities of the society. As the school grows the other programmes of the society will also be strengthened. The school has recently been granted affiliation to the C.B.S.E. (Delhi) up to class X.  

              Originally the primary school was located at the old campus at Dhoerra on a smaller plot of land.  It has a total built up area of 638.6  sqm.  The  main campus of the school is coming up in a phased manner on a bigger plot of land measuring 15,000 sqm. located 7 km. away  from the city on Anoopshahar Road. This land has been acquired keeping in view the future needs of the school and also to fulfil the norms of the C.B.S.E. (Delhi) . The foundation stone of this school was laid by Mr. Saiyid Hamid, former V.C. of A.M.U. in  November 1997. 1475 sqm.  of the first phase of the new campus has already been constructed along with the boundary wall costing about  Rs. 74,00,000.  We have also recently acquired a school bus for to and fro transport of the school children. This campus when completed will ultimately possess all the modern educational and co curricular facilities including a hostel for residence. The rest of the first phase consisting of 480 sqm.  is yet to be taken up for construction. Various projects at the new campus at the Anoopshahar Road can be summarized as follows which will be taken up as we mobilize resources *.
