ALIGARH MODERN SCHOOL

The explosion of knowledge caused by scientific and technological development in our times calls for a radical change in the conventional methods of teaching and education,Acquiring knowledge  should not be made an unpleasant  task devoid of enjoyment and the sense of participation on the  part of students. Wrong emphases on  learning by rote and problem solving without comprehension of the  basic concepts involved crushes the inquisitiveness of the young mind and disorients the very process of learning. We at ALIGARH MODERN SCHOOL encourage the child to : 

• Imbibe interest in learning with a sense of joy and pleasure.

• Develop self confidence, moral courage and uprightness in quest of knowledge.

• Attain excellence in science and mathematics.

• Acquire an understanding of their obligations to the society in  consonance with their religious and cultural heritage and

• Participate in sports and socially useful extracurricular activities for the development of an all round personality. 

With these aims in view the school was established in 1986 with the opening of Nursery and K.G.  classes. At present it has grown to class X level and our first batch has appeared for class X  Central Board of  Secondary Education examination in 2004 and 80% of our students have passed the exam with distinction.
